Welcome to Talk Ballet To Me!

Hi, I'm Kate and this is my first ever blog post!

Well, I should probably introduce myself...

I'm a professional ballet dancer, French and English trained, and have performed internationally for over 10 years. However, a few years ago I became distracted by the lack of options available for adult dancers and decided to split my time between performing, teaching and creating much-needed training resources designed specifically for adults.

I founded My Ballet Coach with the goal of making ballet more accessible, inclusive and affordable for dancers of all experience levels.

If you're not already familiar, My Ballet Coach is an online platform that provides on-demand (and award-winning, if I might add! ) training in ballet designed for adult dancers.

Membership gives access to hundreds of videos including ballet classes, stretches, workouts, technique tips, injury prevention and massage tutorials and there is even a video glossary!

For non-members, individual courses can also be bought with a small, one-time payment.

However, when it comes to resources for adult dancers, it's not just training materials that are important. It's also nice to feel a sense of community, to know there are other dancers like you who discovered (or continue to love) ballet later in life.

However, I'm not the only person striving to make an adult dancer's journey more enjoyable, so I decided to start a blog to scrape together all the brilliant resources out there and to have a place to chat about why ballet is the most wonderful activity, no matter your age, gender or experience level.

As always, I would love to hear about your own experience and what you're looking for as an adult dancer. Feel free to contact me here or hang out with me on social media where I will almost certainly be scrolling through endless dog videos.
